These famous BJP Leaders come from RSS Background but before we move on to the list what exactly is RSS? The Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh or the RSS is the world’s largest voluntary organization involved in various social activities. There are many organizations like Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) , Bajarang Dal , Seva Bharti , Kisan Sangh , Majdoor sang etc which work under its supervision. It is also said that Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP) is indirectly controlled  by the RSS, though both RSS and BJP both deny it always, but we all know what is the reality.

RSS has produced many great leaders for BJP and these leaders have helped to take BJP from 2 seats to 283 seats. Lets check out some of the famous leaders of BJP produced by the RSS. Read for a list of RSS Products which made it big as BJP Leader.

1. Narendra Modi

Modi needs no introduction. He is the prime minister of India and RSS is the hidden force that has made him the PM.  At the age of eight, Modi came in contact with RSS and he began attending its local shakhas.  He became pracharak of RSS in 1970

During 1975–1977, when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of the emergency, political opponents were jailed and political organisation including RSS were banned. Modi went underground in Gujarat and to evade arrest was occasionally disguised as a Sikh, saint, elderly man etc. and printed and sent booklets against the central government to Delhi. He also organised agitations and covert distribution of the Sangh’s pamphlets. he RSS assigned Modi to the BJP in 1985. In 1988, Modi was elected as organising secretary of BJP’s Gujarat unit. From there , it was no look behind and today he is now the PM of the country.

2. Nitin Gadkari

Nitin Gadkari, is another swayam sevak who worked for the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and the student union ABVP. He became president of BJP and currently a minister in BJP government.

3. Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan

Shivraj joined RSS at the age of 13 in 1970 He replaced Babulal Gaur as chief minister on 29 November 2005. A leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has served as its general secretary and as president of its Madhya Pradesh state unit.

4. B S Yeddurappa

Yeddurappa joined RSS in his college days. In 1988, he became the State President of the BJP in Karnataka. He is the man behind the rise of Lotus in South.

5. Shushma Swaraj

Sushma Swaraj father was a prominent RSS member. She served in RSS as swayamsevika from years. Swaraj began her political career with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in the 1970

6. Amit Shah

Amit Shah is considered to be a confidant of Modi. He was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Swayamsevak (RSS volunteer) and a leader of the BJP’s youth wing, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). He worked as a stockbroker for some time, during which period he joined the BJP.

7. Murli Manohar

After completing his PhD, Joshi started teaching Physics at Allahabad University. He came in contact with the RSS in Delhi at a young age. He is best known for his views on Indian socio-politics and for his affiliation with the RSS.

8. LK Advani

dvani began his political career as a volunteer of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in 1947. With the dissolution of the Jana Sangh, Advani and his colleague Atal Bihari Vajpayee joined the Janata Party to fight the Lok Sabha Elections of 1977..

9. Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Vajpayee studied from the Saraswati Shishu Mandir, the school run by RSS. He later became the first PM of BJP.

10. Rajnath Singh

Rajnath Singh had been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since 1964, at the age of 13 and remained connected with the organisation even during his employment as a physics lecturer. In 2000, he became Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh
