PM Narendra Modi’s Bluff – Vajpayee has no house of his own

In BJP’s Goa rally, on January 12, 2014, Narendra Modi, while trying to refute AAP leaders’ simple lifestyles, claimed that despite being in public life for several years and ruling the country, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has no house of his own to stay.

Anything that BJP’s PM Candidate Narendra Modi says has to be cross-checked knowing his penchant to misquote facts and mislead people. And as it happens so often these days, Mr Modi has bluffed his fellow country men yet another time in yet another Election Rally.

MyNeta.info is a website which keeps public records of all the electoral petitions filed by various MPs and MLAs which includes the details of their movable and immovable assets. We checked Mr Vajpayee’s petition filed for the 2004 Lok Sabha elections and it clearly states that he owns a flat in a multi-storeyed apartment in East of Kailash, New Delhi whose worth was 22 lakhs (2,200,000) INR in 2004. Mr Vajpayee was BJP led NDA’s Prime Minister till May 2004.

It is quite shameful that Mr Narendra Modi can’t even get facts about his own party’s leaders right. From killing BJP’s founding father Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in 1930 to his bluff about Atal Behari Vajpayee who is BJP’s tallest leader till date, Mr Modi is proving to be quite an embarrassment for his party.
