Certain emotions do not come naturally to humans. Hate is one of them. Yet, now a days in our country, we find this baser human instinct overpowering all other saner human feelings. Hate seems to have an overpowering effect on all our senses to the extent where it has started dominating our social and political life. India has not always been so full of hate and venom. Love, harmony, diversity had great value in our society till the last two decades. The demolition of Babri Masjid and the legitimizing of the extreme Hindutva ideology has changed the old values and injects the collective consciousness with vicious and poisonous ideas. What was supposed to be blasphemous in past has now become a legitimate political propaganda. Communalism has now come to stay and their icon can now shamelessly thump his “56” inch chest and support all dirty tricks of his party in instigating communal hatred. Muzaffarnagar is a recent illustration how a communal violence could be instigated by circulating a fake Pakistani video CD. The set of the fabricated pictures collected by Truth of Gujarat will establish how the poison of communalism is being spread in our country to destroy our peace and harmony.
